Kenmare Failte Hostel

Recently voted 'The Best IHH Town Hostel in Ireland 2011, & Failte Ireland approved since 1986, Kenmare Failte Hostel is 'A Home from Home', situated in the centre of Kenmare town - across from the Post Office on the corner of Shelbourne Street. We provide private rooms ensuite as well as dormitory rooms for a very reasonable price. There is a fully equipped self-catering Kitchen with Aga Cooker which is always on creating a very welcoming atmosphere, where you can cook - have a cup of 'free' tea or coffee, and have an interesting chat with the hostel team & other guests...and if that doesn't interest you - there is a sitting-room and dining room with many reading material to choose from, along with board games, and 'free to air' satellite stations. There is also a dvd player with a selection of films to watch. The latest releases can also be rented from the local DVD shop under the hostel's account.

We are located in the centre of Kenmare town, just opposite the Post Office, on the corner of Shelbourne Street. Guests can visit Kenmare Heritage Centre, Kenmare Lace & Design Centre, Rent-a-bike (which is located just across from the street from us!) and tour around Kenmare for a few hours, Star Outdoors which provide both water & land activities, Seafari, or take advantage of the many lovely walking trails around the town.

In the interest of tired travellers - Kenmare Failte Hostel actively discourages hen and stag nights. A strict curfew of 1.30am is enforced to ensure everyone has a good night's sleep.

Our Reception area is open until 8pm - any late arrivals must be confirmed before 6pm of your arrival date.
