Jamaica Inn is the closest hostel to Shannon Airport (13km/8 miles). It is an ideal first and last stop for visitors to Ireland. For people arriving, there is information on what to do and see in the local area as well as local bus and train timetables. For people departing, the hostel offers an opportunity to visitors to get themselves organised for the flight home as well as getting a good night sleep.

The hostel can accommodate 50 people in private rooms and dormitories. All bed-linen is provided.

The hostel is built around a large courtyard with tables and chairs where guests can sit and chat or eat their meals. Guests can prepare their own meals in the self-catering kitchen. The Jamaica Inn has a restaurant where breakfast is served every day and evening meals for groups. There is also a common room with a TV, table football and board games.

The hostel is close to Limerick city (16km/10miles) and Ennis town (20km/10miles). Several visitor attractions are close by including the famous Bunratty Castle and Folk Park (8km/5miles).

Jamaica Inn was built in 1997 and is very comfortable and clean. The owners are Michael and Nuala who gave up their jobs and houses in Dublin, and came to County Clare to live a different life. Together with their 2 dogs Bob and Marley, they offer a friendly, warm and relaxed welcome to their guests.
